Your rank-search input

The amount you enter to find your rank is sent to our server only to calculate that rank in real time. It is never written to a database, never associated with you or your IP address, and never sent to analytics or any third party. We don't want it and we don't keep it. As a general habit, we still encourage entering an approximate amount rather than your exact balance anywhere on the internet.

What we collect

We use Plausible Analytics to understand site traffic. Plausible is cookieless and uses a privacy-friendly, GDPR-aligned model. Your IP address is briefly processed to determine approximate country but is never stored.

We also record a few anonymous, aggregate interaction events, for example which chain was viewed or which tier band a visitor landed in, so we know what to build next. These contain no wallet address, no exact balances, and nothing that identifies you. We retain no personal data and we collect nothing else.

Blockchain data

All holder rankings and wallet data displayed on this site are sourced from public blockchain networks. Wallet addresses and balances are publicly visible on-chain and are not considered private information under any jurisdiction we are aware of.

Third parties

We use CoinGecko for live price data. No personal information is shared with any third party. We do not sell data. We do not run ads.

California residents (CCPA)

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents have the right to request disclosure of any personal information we hold, which in our case is none.

Children's privacy

Am I a Whale? is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children. If you are under 13, please do not use this site.

Security

Am I a Whale? is served over HTTPS and uses industry-standard security practices. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We do not store personal data. Basic server logs generated by our hosting provider are automatically purged within 30 days. Plausible Analytics retains anonymized aggregate traffic data indefinitely but holds no personally identifiable information.
